Create a web site about you. The topic could be your favourite destinations, sports, careers, hobbies, etc. and display your work from this semester.
Click on this link My Website to access more details on my website. Remember the user name is recuser and the password is Kodiaks1
You will have a home page called index.html and 4 additional pages. You must include these pages: about me, my favourite links, photo/video gallery and one page of your choosing. The layout is your choice. This could be a basic page or a page with frames (i.e., header, columns, footer, etc.).
Create a new site for this project names WebProjectYName. Save all files to this folder. Create subfolders inside this folder for good organization, e.g., images, folder for each page, etc.
You will be graded on:
Navigation / ease of use - there should be no "dead ends". All links must work and all pages must be connected to each other.
Layout - use of tables and/or frames to space the parts of the page
Graphics - quality and appropriate use for both versions
Technical requirements - files/folder names, images location, etc
Unique elements that add to the site (not stuff you throw in that messes up your layout)
Managing your time - finishing on time - due January 21st, 2010.

Cooking Commercial
Periods 1 and 4 - Applications Software 30S
Students are to create a commercial using the clips from the Cooking folder in the Pickup folder. The following instructions must be followed exactly for this to work properly (or at all!)
Login as: student Password: 123go
Create a New Folder in the DATA drive.
Name this folder: YourLastNameVideos
Connect to server by clicking GO in the menu bar
Connect to Students
If the computer prompts you for a password use your appsoft# and password at this point
Now go to the Pickup folder. You may need to go to osxsvr (in Finder under shared drives). Copy the Cooking folder from my Pickup folder and paste it in your videos folder on Data.
Now open Premier Pro. It should open fairly quickly when you are logged in as local student.
Create a New Project, named Cooking, saved to your data drive folder. Click OK on the dialog boxes until you get to the Workspace. Find the Cooking folder in the Data drive and drag all the files from the Cooking folder to your Project Cooking in the top left of your screen.
Double click on each clip to see what it does—press the spacebar to activate play. You are now ready to make a commercial using all six clips. Drag each into the Video 1 timeline in an appropriate order for your commercial.
Click on Windows, choose Effects. Place the Playhead (the long red line in the timeline) at the beginning of a clip, choose an effect by double clicking on it. Add an effect at the beginning of each clip. Save your commercial.
Take note of the length of your commercial. You will now go to Garageband and create a soundtrack to accompany your commercial. You must use headphones for this!! – provided in the bag or your own. Remember to choose sounds that describe the action in the clips. Use fades where appropriate. Save all work.
Period 3 – eDesign 30S
Add en entry to your blog that describes what you want for Christmas – 8 to 10 items. Each item should have an image and a description—detailed. Include a link to the website where there is more information on each product. If you finish this, work on the Powerpoint we started yesterday by animating each object on each slide.

My thoughts for today
How come when they say to put in your two cents worth that they'll give you a penny for your thoughts? Where'd the other penny go???
Knowledge is only useful when you do something with it ... so go and do something ...
